Giving Back

To give back some of what I have been given...

Something that I talk about alot, but never seem to do enough of.  I think that like most people, I get caught up in the fact that money seems to be all I think I can give to help others, but I am coming to realize that time and just a helping hand or a kind word are comidities that are just as important.  Helping one another...not only giving to the nameless needy we may not ever see, but to the people around us in our everyday lives.  My older daughter picked out these necklaces in the picture to share with her sister...very touching gesture.  I was really inspired by the choice to share something rather than pick something out just for her.  It really made me think about not only others in need, but how much something so simple can affect the loved ones in my life.  On the money part, I will be donating 10% of all profits I make to John 3:16 Mission here in Tulsa.  I will have a link on the sidebar where you can donate as well if you feel moved to do so.  When you book a session, that 10% will be donated in your name.  I am also going to give some of my time as well.  'Tis better to give....

Ok...here it is my first special of the summer...25% off all packages and prints....This special will run through the end of June.  Since school is out (I am a teacher in real life :) )  I will have appointments available everyday except Sunday.  Refer a friend and get prints for $10 a sheet if they book a session!  Call and book soon...let the summer savings begin!!!!

All kinds of sessions are available at this time...downtown Tulsa, parks, your home, events (such as family reunions, birthday parties, etc.), documentary sessions (a day at home baking cookies, first haircut, etc.) you dream it up and we can shoot it!

Ahh summer....the time for watermelon and barbecues...Slip n Slides and swimmin' holes.  And, of course a great time for capturing all of those wonderful family times and childhood memories with great photography!  I will be running specials monthly and doing more contests, so check back often!

Mother's Day!

Moms...even the word brings up pictures in my mind.  Scaring away monsters from under my bed, holding my hand when I went up to the school building for the first time, crying with me over my first break-up, rejoicing with me when I graduated from high school...a thousand images flash through my mind.  My mother past away eight years ago and not a day goes by that I don't wish I could've had just one more moment with her...she never got to see my daughter, who carries her middle name and a striking resemblence to the granny she never met.  She never met my amazing husband.  I can look back through tons of pictures from my childhood and teen years, but as we got older, there were less and less photographs of her and us kids together.  As we get older, our lives get busier and we move further and further away from each other and it's just so hard to get together.  You don't realize how much you miss until she is gone and all opportunity to see her and make memories with her is gone.  I guess my point is don't wait.  Children...go to your mother this Mother's Day. Even if its just for a bit.  Take the time to be with her.  Take pictures.  Make Memories. 

And on that note...Mothers....your children will not care that you found a new wrinkle or grey hair or pound or two...take pictures with your children....they will treasure them always...

Hey ladies!!! Now is a great time for bridal portraits.  Your session can be extravagant bridal glamour for those brides-to-be, where you have a wonderful opportunity to show the beauty that you are, and create awesome memories of your pre-wedding glow to show off at the wedding and reception. Or, for those of you who are the luckiest wives in the world, pull out your wedding dress and have one last hoorah in that amazing dress!  In an after-wedding mess up (not too much) the dress session, and do things in your dress you never thought you'd do!!!  This is a great time to be creative and really show your personality...Think about all the things you love to do, and then we can catch you doing them in your wedding dress...These sessions can be fun and stress free, because the wedding is over...so you can have a great time wearing your dress and flaunting it proudly!!!
